Dr. David Dinehart | Well, we made it back and Honduras is as beautiful as ever. The group is full of energy and smiles. The boys were very excited to see us and came running up to the bus for their hugs. Matt and Abby, I hope you had a nice weekend. We went to church this morning, and had to walk through the river. It was very warm, probably in the 80's. We saw a giant moth today, 6" wide! The first day of school for the boys is tomorrow, so we may go to the opening ceremony. It's raining now, so hopefully things will be nice and cool for the first day of work. The volunteers are cooking dinner for us tonight and we will return the favor later in the week. I miss you guys. I can't wait to get your message. |

Dr. Shawn Gross | Hi Jen, Nicholas, Evan, and friends and family. We had a flawless first day; the bus rides and airplane flight went smoothly, and the boys were very happy to see us and gave us the usual warm welcome. Our group is awesome and gets along terrifically, too. Lots of incredible memories from trips past and I'm sure lots of great memories to come out of this week. Nicholas, Spaceman is having a lot of fun and likes it here in Honduras. He took his spaceship and flew through the air! Evan, hope you're feeling better and please wait another week before you start walking because I want to be there! JJC, I can't believe how great this dining hall looks; they could run a catering business out of this place! |

Andy Colby | Hi, Mom, Dad, Emily, Rachel, Nonnie, Julie, and
everyone else! We arrived here without a hitch yesterday
and I was so happy to see all the boys. Most of them
remember me, but I have a new nickname, "Baldy." We walked
to Mass today. It was really hot but fun walk. We're
going to break out the soccer balls we brought down and have an
epic Honduras v. USA match tonight. I hope everyone's
doing well. Love, Andy |

Maria DellaMonica | Hello everyone! I'm alive and kicking...here in Honduras :) The boys are great--they just want to run and play with us all day long. I love it! We walked into town today and had to cross a river to go to mass. It's so nice here...very hot but it beats West Chester weather :) Miss you all -- can't wait to show you all of my pictures! Linds--I've been using every bit of Spanish you taught me, you'd be proud :) Happy 21st Tenedor...hope it was fabulous!! Cristine--plenty of Miguel's here!! Love you all!! PS--PAY THE RENT LADIES ;-) |

Kelly Donmoyer | Hey Andrew, Mom, Dad, Kevin, and everyone
reading! Mom, I hope you have a great birthday-I'm thinkinig
about you. Our first day went really well ("flawless" as Dr. G put
it), starting at 4:30am at the Villanova parking lot. For two
readers, I have to say there was a Richard Gere movie playing on
the plane (Nights at Rodan maybe..). Some boys came along to
pick us up from the airport and the others greeted us when we
arrived at Amigos. Everyone was really excited, and we had an
awesome tortilla meal Saturday night. Mass this morning was nice
(and just as hot and long as the previous two times). We're
planning a big Honduras vs. US soccer game for later tonight,
when it's a bit cooler (so we don't pass out after 10 minutes).
More to come soon. Miss you. Sending love, kel |

Como estas? That's right ladies and gentlemen I have mastered 3 spanish phrases so far and am making progress. I have recovered all of my stuff and am really enjoying myself. Before we left, Father Peter told us that wherever you are going there will be people there waiting for you...and excited to see you, he couldn't be more right. Getting off the plane to 7 boys giving you hugs as though you were a long lost brother is a feeling you can't describe. We're all looking forward to getting to know the boys and get to work here at Amigos de Jesus. |

Kati Greising | Hi everyone! We arrived here safely yesterday, after a great plane trip and everything went smoothy! Where we are staying is great (and it is not a tree house - much better!) We went to church today, but mostly we have just been spending time with the boys getting to know them. They are amazing!! I will keep you posted soon, miss you love you! |

Lauren Havener | Hi everyone, we arrived safely yesterday.
The boys were really excited to see us and practically attacked
us when we got off of the bus (Edgar too). It's really hot
here but I'm slowly getting used to it. We won't start
working until tomorrow but we have been playing with the boys a
lot, they have a ton of energy! Today we went into the
town to go to church. It wasn't a typical walk to mass!
We walked on a lot of dirt roads and had to wade through a
river, I almost lost my shoe but I'm good now. Anyway, I
just finished eating lunch and we are going to go walk around
some more and play with the boys. Everything is going
smoothly so far! Oh and dad don't worry I put on a lot of
sunscreen! I miss you all and I love you! -Lauren |

Catherine Honohan | Hello! Let me just start off by saying I
couldn't be happier right now. The group, the country and
most importantly the boys make me feel right at home even though
I am 2,000 miles from it. I can already tell it is going
to be very hard to leave on Saturday. Today we went to
church, and now I appreciate a mass said in English (and only an
hour long) a little more. We walked for a half hour to get
there, and went through a river (see pictures). It was a
beautiful day though, and so far I am not burnt. I cannot
wait to tell you all more about the week to come. Love you
all.

Ramon Martinez | Hola, Todo esta super bien por aca. Contento de regresar. Casi todos los niņos del aņo pasado todavia estan aqui, se siente bien volverlos a ver. Vieja te quiero. PS: Matt and Abby, I'm half Irish. If you can find a Claddagh ring in the house, you will probably be able to find a present near by. |

Juan Murphy O'Halloran- Rodriguez | Hola America! Wow. Honduras is amazing!
All my expectations were blown away once we rode through the
slums of Honduras and then stepped off the bus to 50 boys
screaming and hugging you. We have spent most of our time
so far playing with the boys and embracing the lifestyle
here in Hoduras (the hot weather, sweet views and food).
This trip and my experience will be very hard to put into text
but I will try better on future updates. Hope all is well
in MN and safe/fun in Panama City. Love you Mom. |

John Paget | Greetings from Amigos de Jesus. Today marks our first full day in Honduras and it has been muy bueno so far. It is a good thing we beat each other up a lot when we were younger because it is all boys here. They have as much energy as little boys can, so they have us running around like crazy. We have spent most of our time getting to know the boys, many of whom come from pretty rough backgrounds. Mass this morning was interesting. I'll have plenty of pictures to show in addition to the ones you'll see on or site. Take care--hope all is well...love, John |
